to make the shoes for her graduate year fashion collection.
Eilidh's theme for her outfit and shoe designs bore elements from David Bowie. Eilidh designed the shoes and together we worked them into a manageable production with the tools and supplies available. I enjoyed the challenge this commission brought, having to find new techniques for building some designs, including the challenge of designing a unique platform and heel for the sandal. The shoes complimented her outfits perfectly.

About Immogen Neilson
I love shoes! Totally fixated on them. Have been all my life! I remember trying on my mother's high heel shoes and strutting about in them even though they were many sizes too big! I have hundreds of pairs now. Some 30 years old! But I turned fully vegan in January 2016 and my search for a fashionable vegan shoe brought me great despair. Of course I never threw out my collection. I believed that would be wrong. Disrespectful to the poor animal that gave it's life for the shoe. So I still have wonderful shoes. But I won't buy any more with animal products in them. So where would I get nice shoes? I have always been obsessive about matching too, so I looked at this dilemma as an opportunity to take control for myself. I went on the reputable condensed London College of Fashion Shoemaking Course to learn how to make my own shoes. Now I have the skills to make gorgeous, fashionable, matching, unique pieces for myself and provide a bespoke service for others, Imagine having a unique pair of shoes, that there is only ONE pair of in the world, that matches what you are wearing! A cruelty free pair of shoes! Then no need to imagine! It is the Immogen Neilson bespoke shoe brand. Where you do not need to compromise your sense of fashion to be vegan!
